Wilson Thelimo Louis was born in July 3rd, 1986, in Haiti. During his childhood he developed a passion for social activism and community volunteerism. He has degrees in communication, Law, and legal sciences from the State University of Haiti. Being in Massachusetts, he earned his nursing assistant certificate at K&K in Brocton and paralegal studies from Boston University. He also studied filmmaking and video production from Community Supported Film in Roxbury, and human services at Goodwill.Thelimo is the leader of Innovation of the Territory by Active Itiahists of Haiti (ITIAHaiti); he is a founding member of the Haiti National Network of Young Volunteers; and was executive director of the Haiti Institute of Technical and Professional Training. He used to volunteer at Catholic Charities in Boston; Volunteering for the Development of Haiti; Alliance Française of les Cayes; Haitian Red Cross; Health and Information Program (PSI-Haiti); UNICEF, and for the National Advocacy Organization for Individuals Live with Handicap in Haiti. In addition to these activities, he used to advocate as an ambassador for human rights with “l’Amicale des Juristes” and hosted some radio and TV programs. Louis ran for Congress in August 2015 in Haiti, due to his political affiliation, he was targeted for his propensity for speaking out against the mistreatment of youth, inclusion, and social cohesion in Haiti. His aspiration for unified Haiti was dashed by constant fears, stress, and constant phone calls to join the government and the opposition political parties. Coming to United States in August 2016, he gained that motivation that he once had and wants to better educate himself to benefit others. The gallium arsenide (GaAs) circuits in advanced communication application have been considered to profoundly supersede the conventional silicon-based counterpart. Great improvements in the packaging of GaAs devices are needed to overcome the imminent handicap of its fragile characteristic, Thin die represents the mainstream for IC packages to achieve the goal of manufacturing compact and light products with higher functionality. These trends tend to challenge the existing infrastructure, henceforth, the creative design in connection with a unique die bonder in fabrication has been presented in this book. The general process to pick up a die was comprehensively investigated and then analyzed with computer simulations. Experiments were conducted to verify the simulation results. The die cracks due to the ejecting needle, and the effects of parameter were analyzed by means of Taguchi Method. With this procedure, not only the parameters could be optimized but also the production yield was promoted. Besides, this method could be easily modified to simulate other type of die bonders with different mechanisms, even a new procedure could be derived for the next generational die bonder.
A cleft palate (palatoschisis) is a fissure in the roof of the oral cavity. It is usually a congenital deformity that leads to abnormal communication between the oral and nasal cavities. Problems are cosmetic, dental, speech, swallowing, hearing, facial growth, emotional. The zones involved by common oral clefts are upper lip, alveolar ridge, hard palate and soft palate. More than 50% are combined clefts of lip and palate and about one-fourth are bilateral. The psychological and socio-economic handicap of oral clefts may be severe. Communication technologies have undergone a remarkable development since the inception of first mobile phone. With the advancement of wireless protocols, sophisticated modulation-demodulation techniques, digital integration for data handling. The main obstacle of this development comes from the fact that these devices operate on power delivered from battery, which are needed charging conventionally done via wired charger adapter connected to the wall power outlets. This indicates that the development of high speed wireless communication technologies must accompany wireless transfer of power to the devices along with the data. This thesis gives an idea to develop an optimized, efficient yet simple WPT system that can be used in day-to-day life electrical appliances: like mobile devices (cell phone, laptops, tabs, etc), electric vehicles, motorized wheel chair for handicap, medical implantable devices.
